Sterilizing Tablets
Hi mommies...
saya nak mintak pendapat dari mommies semua... ada tak sesiapa yg pakai sterilizing tablet utk sterilize bottle?
Kat rumah saya pakai steam sterilizer tapi masa kat office saya guna tablets. tapi bau bottle tu kuat sangat la.... perlu ke kita bilas dulu bottle tu lepas rendam dalam sterilizing solution tu? and satu lagi saya notice bila tangan saya terkena sterilizing solution tu, kulit akan jadi kering and sometimes mengelupas... so takut jugak kalau ada side effect dekat baby.... harap mommies semua boleh share dengan saya pasal sterilizing tablets ni....
saya pakai brand boots...
Re: Sterilizing Tablets
saya pakai gak sterilizing tablets tu. brand milton. yang tu hospital kasik sbb masa kat spital bg ebm. dah kat rumah ni bf directly je so dah lama tk guna.
setakat duk spital seminggu guna tu tkde masalah la. milton ni tk bau kuat sangat..
Re: Sterilizing Tablets
saya dah tak pernah dah pakai sterilizing tablet tuh..sbb bau kuat sgt lah....kalo bilas pon kuat gak..kena rebus balik...sakai pakai dulu pureen punya...
skang ni cuma rendam dalam air suam n liquid cleanser tu ja...kocak2 n gosok2 sket,titis2 kan air da jap pastu pasang balik..huhu..
tak pernah dah sterilize lagi...
side effect taktau.tp rasa tak syokk sbb ada bau..
Re: Sterilizing Tablets
Saya dulu balik dari hospital sebok lah suruh hubby belikan... last2 tak pakai sebab leceh...
Saya ask around officemate kata they all tak pakai pon. They alll just basuh dgn liquid wash ( saya pakai pureen) and then rendam dalam air panas.... senang cite .. pastu nak jalan pun susah tak yah lah nak angkut sterlizing machine
Re: Sterilizing Tablets
saya pakai sterilizing tablet...kdg2 yg barand pureen dan kdg2 brand boots...saya pakai sejak start bagi baby ebm(sejak kerja)...so far no problem..I prefer the tablet dari rebus sbb kdg2 tak de masa nak rebus...most of the time kat ofis pun saya guna streilizing tablet ini utk pam susu selepas dah basuh dgn liquid cleanser yg brand pureen atu pigeon...saya guna bekas tupperware yg plastik tu utk tadah air dan lepas tu masukkan tablet dan rendam pump dlm tu ..So far Alhamdulilah ...botol or pump tak de bau sgt...bila berjalan bawak tablet je sbb saya tak pakai apa2 sterilizing machine pun
Re: Sterilizing Tablets
tak payah bilas ye lepas rendam tu? kalau toskan je pun dah cukup ye? hhehe... maaf ye, saya ni kurang pengalaman..
Re: Sterilizing Tablets
ye..tak perlu bilas...biasanya saya jemur kat rack botol kalau sempat...kalau tak sempat saya toskan saja.
Re: Sterilizing Tablets
Assalamualaikum,
Saya ada petua nak hilangkan bau botol susu supaya biar nampak berkilat bila dibasuh. Tak payah guna chemicals.
Hanya guna sedikit baking soda dan basuh & berus botol susu tu macam biasa. InsyaAllah bau hilang dan botol nampak berkilat. Sebenarnya banyak kegunaan baking soda ni.
Re: Sterilizing Tablets
wah... bagus ye pn zainab.... bila baca petua puan zainab saya br teringat... mmg penah dgr la petua ni cuma tak penah buat dan terus lupa
Re: Sterilizing Tablets
saya selalu guna steamer utk strilize botol and pump. Tapi masa balik kampung baru2 ni saya beli cold water sterilizer from mothercare, sebab cam takde masa nak rebus botol and tak bawal steamer.
Senang gak nak guna rendam je dlm air paip biasa, but bau clorox tu kuat sgt la. Coz ni first time saya guna, kat package dia mmg ada tulis yg kena bilas dgn hot water after sterilize. So rasa cam leceh gak la, baik rebus trus.
Kat ofis breastpump tu saya cuci dgn cleaner pureen aje.
How To Sterilize Baby Bottles
Everything that is used to feed that baby must be washed and sterilized thoroughly before and after use. Normal cleaning process doesn’t remove the bacteria from the milk, thereby, making the baby prone to infectious diseases. Sterilizing baby bottles is a must, if you want to ensure good health for your baby. The milk bottle is to be sterilized after it has been cleaned thoroughly. Electric and microwave sterilizing are the modern methods of sterilizing baby bottles, while boiling and cold water sterilizing are the traditional ones, which can be taken recourse to when you don’t have access to electricity. Read on to know the different ways of sterilizing baby bottles.
Steam sterilizing
Electric steam sterilizing method is similar to what is used in hospitals. This takes about eight to twelve minutes, excluding cooling time. This process is efficient and doesn't take long. You must use only those parts that are safe to boil. Bottles and nipples should be placed upside down to ensure proper sterilization. If you are using a microwave, you will have to buy a steamer for it. Do not place any metal parts inside the microwave. Sterilization in a microwave will take five to eight minutes plus cooling time. Remove the lid of the steamer very carefully as the interior becomes extremely hot. The greatest advantage of using this method of sterilization is that there is no smell or taste. If kept closed, the items remain sterile for three hours.
Cold water sterilization
Tablets used for this method are available in the market. Dissolve them in the prescribed amount of water. This will form a solution that is effective against bacteria. These tablets are safe and will not have any side effects, even if swallowed. You can buy a sterilizing unit for this or buy a bucket with a lid, which is used for this purpose alone. You must ensure that the bottles are completely submerged in the solution. For complete sterilization, make sure that there are no air bubbles in the bottles. Sterilization should be complete in half an hour, but it is safe to leave items in the solution for 24 hours. Fresh solution must be made every day. Make sure to wash your hands before removing the sterilized equipment. Fill the bottles with milk and store them in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Keep bottles in the main part of fridge, as it is colder than the door. Keep away from raw food.
Boiling
Boiling is another method of sterilizing baby bottles. All the bottle-feeding items need to be boiled for a minimum of 10 minutes. You must have a separate pan, only for the purpose of boiling these items. Some items like nipples or teats will have to be replaced more often if you use this method, as they get sticky.
Microwavable bottles
These bottles can be sterilized on their own in the microwave. A single bottle takes 90 seconds to get sterilized. While microwaving, the bottles must be kept open, so that the heat directly reaches inside.
